Greater Snow geese
Greater Snow geese fly at the Cap Tourmente Wildlife area at St-Joachim. According to Environment Canada, at the beginning of the last century the Greater Snow geese were on the verge of extinction, so the Cap Tourmente Wildlife area was set up in 1969, one of many measures that helped to increase the number of Greater Snow geese to more than 800,000.
Quidditch anyone?
Middlebury College hosted the first large Intercollegiate Quidditch Tournament where 12 teams from around the US competed. Quidditch, the sport from JK Rowling's Harry Potter books, was adapted into a real-life game which began at Middlebury College in 2005. The sport is a cross between soccer, dodgeball, and rugby.
