Madonna's publicist says the US pop star and her husband British filmmaker Guy Ritchie are not planning to divorce.
A statement from Liz Rosenberg has denied recent media speculation that the marriage is ending.
There have recently been reports the 49-year-old singer's lined up lawyer Fiona Shackleton who acted for Paul McCartney in his bitter divorce from Heather Mills.
Madonna married 39-year-old Ritchie in December 2000 at Skibo Castle in northeast Scotland.
Their son Rocco was several months old on their wedding day.
Madonna also has an adopted son David Banda from Malawi and a daughter Lourdes from an earlier relationship.
